Picking out a paint color is about as far as most of us get when decorating the walls of a nursery and even that can be tricky. Designer (and mom) Amanda Moore takes wall design to a new level at first:place, an offshoot of her interior design firm re:place.
Remember our post about using orange
in children's rooms? Amanda does it expertly and makes clever use of the existing features of the room.
These nature-themed wall treatments were done in the same room and evoke the sweetness and purity of childhood.
We love how the flight of the butterflies is echoed in the crib ties, not to mention the bold color combination.
Similarly, the vertical stripes used here on a portion of the wall aren't overpowering despite the bright colors which play into the rug perfectly.
We hope you find these wall treatments as inspiring as we do. And if you live in the New York City area and are considering hiring someone to help design a nursery or child's room, find out more about Amanda, re:place and first:place here. As she says, Our clients are often more creative than they know and we help bring out design ideas that were already in them, creating interiors in their style, not ours.
