But we've always really wished we could just create our own custom image paint-by-numbers works of art. Oh wait, there is an application that actually allows you to take that scanned photo or downloaded image and convert into a paint-by-number outline, complete with a colour key. Christmas gifts ahoy! I just looked around for a mac version. can't find a thing. someone needs to program that because how totally fun would that be!
This is something you can do yourself (even on a mac) using photoshop or Gimp by first posterising your image and then using an edge detection plugin...
