I was out at dinner with a friend in California last night at a Thai restaurant, and we both fell in love with a pair of hot pink elephant salt and pepper shakers, but I haven't been able to find the shakers anywhere. But in the process of finding these elusive shakers, I came across some other gorgeous options that I wanted to share with you. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

We just have normal salt&pepper shakers, but I have seen some really cute ones I was tempted to buy. Most recently I saw some bird shaped ones at Urban Outfitters and also a set at West Elm (if I remember right).
I have the fish shaker from Jonathan Adler, everyone I had over for dinner raves about them.
So cool! I love the poodles :)
I dated a guy who's mom had a salt and pepper shaker collection... 3 china cabinets filled plus they were everywhere. Cool to look at but insanely cluttered.
Ha! Only last week I came across what I think is the cutest set, on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62022034/mid-century-tv-set-with-salt-and-pepper
Adorable, or what!?
The pink elephants (and any other color) can be found in markets in Bangkok for less than a dollar. Of course the air fair might price you out of them ;)
I bought these Lego ones for my husband as he is a bit of a fanatic. http://www.geekalerts.com/lego-salt-and-pepper-shakers-part-2/ They're adorable alas the holes are too small and they don't dispense much salt or pepper. The look cute in the kitchen though.

Haha, I was just about to say the same thing! I couldn't NOT see those things everywhere in Bangkok.
In case someone does shell out the airfare to Thailand, be prepared that the Bangkok markets have the most amazing and CHEAP selection of homewares I've ever seen in one place. I think that stores like Anthropologie and Cost Plus actually source a lot of their stuff from there.
