Cyril Brule's Minimalist Cabin

Architect Cyril Brule built himself a tiny cabin on his family's land in Burgandy, France. Simplicity abounds in material consideration and scale. We're especially fond of the linseed-oiled fir siding and the textured rubber floor (though we would have chosen a richer color). Though unpainted, the interior walls are warm and welcoming.

For more pictures and a wealth of information about Cyril's choices of materials (including duck-feather insulation!) see
