Reader Dale Mackey sent in these beautiful images with the note: Hey There, We just finished decorating for Christmas and I'm so loving our little holiday vignette, I thought I'd share. We just got a new kitten, so a big tree that she could climb up and destroy was out of the question. We bought this small living potted fir, adorned it and put it on the mantle. The bunting that hangs below it is made from paint samples I strung with ribbon. And then we of course had to add a little fire with our iPad…Happy Holidays!
Thanks Dale! The Apartment Therapy office loves your iPad Yule Log!

Where are the kitten pictures? Want kitten pictures! Though I must say that wouldn't be safe from my kittens, it's still a very cute set up.
That is what I want to know! Where are the kitten pics????
I love the ipad "yule log"! Our kitten is nearly a year old so is less inclined to scale our tree, however, he does love batting the ornaments off of the lower branches.
It looks lovely and so festive!
Okay so how do you keep the kitten from eating the string on the gifts? That is what I want to know.
Nothing kitten-proof about this, but cute nonetheless.
I recently found a Christmas ornament in the toilet, courtesy of our (2 year old) Blue Point Tonk, who has taken to "babying" the little balls on our tree and carrying them around the house.
First year we had our dog, we had to move all the ornaments up a foot on the tree so she would not destroy them.
We have a newish kitten also, and I was afraid of what she might do to the Christmas Tree. I had the squirt guns all loaded up and ready to go. Fortunately, she's only interested in sleeping under it! What a cute present we have.
Very sweet. Love the sock monkey ornament and of course the ipad fire.
My cats would destroy this; Zumaya Vuvuzela is on a Mission to Ruin Christmas and has already compromised a sturdy vase of evergreen branches. In the interest of protecting our more precious ornaments and keeping our sanity, Christmas decorations in this three-kitty house are mostly wreaths and swags hung high and far from launch surfaces. We also put some unadorned greenery at floor level so the cats can satisfy their curiosity without going nuts.
They will not leave gift ribbons alone, so we either display them up high or just let the cats have their fun.
I bought a Christmas tree specifically for my cat Charlotte. She hasn't tried to climb it, but she likes to bat at the balls and sit underneath it.
I agree with the other posters who want to see photos of the kitten. In fact, I demand to see kitten photos!
