Technology, sport and fashion come altogether in this interesting concept which relies upon the user's own motion to keep the MP3 player powered and operating. Slow down too much and your techno upbeat tempo comes to a goth tune crawl, giving you audio feedback and incentive to dig deeper and keep moving!

The Dancepants Kinetic Music Player designed by Inesa Malafej and Arunas Sukarevicius of Lithuania was amongst others who participated in the Design Boom Green Life competition entries:

It is a 100% interactive way to feel the value of energy on your own. During the movement of feet, kinetic energy is collected to play music. The inverse dynamism of "Dancepants" motivates you to move your feet in order to hear your beloved music. And as long as you keep running or dancing you can be sure you won't run out of battery.
