Last weekend we fell in love with the picture above, which we saw on the cover of Surfer's Journal. Within minutes (we love the internet), we'd found the photo credit and emailed Dane Peterson in Australia to find out if we could buy a print...

We wrote him at night and by the time we woke up he'd responded, steering us to his Flickr page and tell us that, yes, he'd be more than happy to sell us a print. We heard through the grapevine that he is, himself, a very, very good surfer and the woman pictured above, he told us, is his wife. He calls that pic The Bindy Blur.
We thought this was such a good find, that we wanted to blog it and send some link love Dane's way. You can check out his other pics on his Flickr page and contact him via his email there. Thanks Dane!

I totally agree, Flickr is a great way to discover artists.
I came across a guy named Harold Hollingsworth

whose work I fell in love with. I contacted him through Flickr and he couldn't have been nicer! Unfortunately, the prices are a bit steep for me right now, but I definltely plan to own one of his paintings some day.
so gorgeous. a bit like surfashion photography!
Sublime photos- really gorgeous!
