Wandering through blogland, we stopped by Danny Seo's site and found this amazing new project he just finished. Using iron-on veneer strips, he updated an old table using very little money or time. Click below for links and more info.
He started out with a few different varieties and thicknesses of iron-on wood veneer "tape." You can buy veneer and edge banding at many hardware and renovation supply stores.
The strips are ironed on to the table and secured with a roller. Danny used Band-It Veneer Edging.
He says his veneer kit came with a trimming tool, and we'd also recommend buying a kit that comes with one. The sharp lines of this project require a really close, clean cut.
The finished table. We think it looks beautiful, and we're inspired to try our hand at some veneering ourselves.
