Today's Assignment
This is it...our final day together. All we have to do today is clean up or, rather, empty our Outbox. If it's not too big, this should be an easy 20 minutes, but if you've got a lot of stuff, get started today and then use the weekend to finish it off.
CONGRATULATIONS! As I say in the video we've come a long way together over the past 20 days, and now it's time for a little graduation party in your honor. To participate, simply send me your name and a picture below, as Rebecca and I are going to make a graduation video to run on Tuesday morning. Oh, and got feedback? We'd love to hear that as well.
Enjoy!

White Enamel Flatwa...
Max! It went so fast! I am having separation anxiety already. Sniff.
Thank you SO much this cure. It was the kickstart I needed. I'm still working on things and it feels good to finally get my space the way I want it to be.
Until next time.
I hope some of the vids are linked/uploaded to the AT:Homecure book page at Amazon. The vids will enhance the look inside feature and might direct new visitors to the AT site.
Please do it again! I looked forward to my cup of coffee and Cure video every morning.
For the past 2 1/2 weeks, I have been taking care of an 84 year old friend. I have been applying the cure to my daily visits with her; flowers, cooking, and cleaning. Perhaps I can take a picture with her for graduation day.
I am very pleased. I have taken care of a year's worth of nagging little stuff left undone. I have one small thing left, and one large thing not quite finished, but both are on a list, and will be finished.
Thanks AT. My one year anniversary in the new condo was Tuesday, and this could not have come at a more appropriate time.
I just came off a 60 hour work week and can hardly wait to catch up this weekend! It's been the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm also looking forward to watching the videos.
Hope everyone enjoyed the last 20 and will continue for 20 more!
I'm so sad that it's over! This was the best fall cure series yet. Loved the videos, they were what made it all so fun!!!
Can anyone tell me the name of the piano music that starts about :30 into the video?
It's been a true inspiration to accomplish so many home tasks on the weekends, as my regular work weeks are easily 50+ hours. Always a nice treat to view the fantastic videos and actually follow your advice. I certainly hope to continue the home tasks on my own and I know I will keep buying weekly flowers...love that!
I will miss the great videos and reading through everyone's comments...I'm kind of sad about that...Max please do this again, soon!!!
I have not clicked on a single one of these videos and had it play properly. Maybe the link is not compatible with Macs? Have been unable to watch most of them.
I've been loving my first cure !
Are the videos and tasks lists going to get stored somewhere ? I intend to do this 20/20 cure all year long (except for my spring and autumn cleaning weeks), and I'd like to know if I have to copy the list of tasks or if you are going to keep it online somewhere...
Felling good over here, I've been away a few days, I'll catch up today and tomorrow !
Wow, it really was fun! And while finally uploading all the photos I realized how much was accomplished during the last four weeks, phew!
Thank you so very much for igniting some improvements, it got me going to tackle some things avoided for a long time. And there's still more in the pipeline...
I missed this fall cure. When will the next one start? Also, will you leave the videos up on the site so that we can do it on our own, if we can't wait?
This was really fun! Lets do a 30/30 Cure next!
I'm so sad. I liked starting my day with a 'food for thought' idea about my home and my life. Sigh. Thank you for now and I look forward to the Spring Cure.
Really enjoyed the cure, I found the videos to be a great help to getting me started. Must admit, did tend to do most of the work at the weekends.
Looking forward to the next one.
for Sherry B,
could be Johnny Costa? He played the music on the Mr. Rogers show.
many thanks Maxwell for your apartment cure. I thouroughly enjoyed it. When it was finished the painters started painting. Thanks to your Cure I I was ahead of the work.
@futopiaco - Thanks! I didn't know J. Costa, but sounds right now that I've listened to a couple. Would like to know that piece too, but his other music is very pleasant!
Would you consider re-running this for New Years? The 8 week or 20/20 cure would fit perfectly with my New Year's Resolution. (I've ordered the book, but going through with the community here would help a lot!)
Oh dear I'm still on Day 10 so I've only just set up my Outbox :) but I am 8 months pregnant so everything takes double the time - I'll continue to plod through them every other day as its been great - so I guess I'm doing the 20/40 cure
Cheers Maxwell - please repeat with similar things in the spring - window cleaning is something I think we should all be reminded to do - easy and short and makes SUCH a difference - maybe there is one in the next 10....
It's over???? You're sad??? I am besides myself with sadness. I have loved eating my breakfast with you every morning, hearing your calm voice telling me what I needed to do and start my day off in such a gentle and positive way.
I am not ready to graduate.....I need to repeat everything.....if I watch these little lessons over and over a few more times I might just get through everything.
Thank you Maxwell!! I have loved it and will miss you.
For me, the 20-day cure has shown me how many new habits I've picked up from you guys over the last few years! The outbox, the landing strip, weekly deep cleaning of one area of the house, buying flowers...I do all of that regularly already (and I know I didn't used to at some point). What this Cure revealed to me: setting aside one day per month/quarter for repairs is wonderful. And making a list of the things I think that my apartment needs helps me to budget better for those things, instead of having them in the "impulse purchase" category. Thanks!
I wish there was a 'cure' video every day all year long. I know that's probably impractical for you Maxwell, but I liked my little dose of Max every day.
I'm super pleased with how the Cure got me thinking about a number of ways I could make improvements. I feel like even buying or gathering the flowers - even if I had done nothing else, that helped me re-vitalize.
Is there a "I've watched all the videos. gotten super excited and still have not done a DAMN thing!" button? Cause that's my button.
Thanks for the videos, they were so sweet. I will miss them. I have already been doing the things you say (I love your book), but having them presented so nicely every day was great.
I love what I've accomplished these last 20 days (and thanks so much AT and Max!), but I'm also sad: I know I can do more... I need to do more... Can't the Cure be repeated??? I'm already addicted!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE we can't stop now!!!
My Outbox contents were packed in a carton that was left at the post office to be shipped to relatives. That took well over an hour today, was well worth the time and effort, and was one of many tasks that would remain undone if not for this AT Fall Cure.
The way the Cure broke work into reasonably sized tasks made it easier. I'd postponed some work for months because it was overwhelming. Most tasks took much longer than :20, partly because this was my first Cure, partly because I chose the more challenging tasks in my home to take advantage of the morale support. Knowing that other people were tired and sweaty from the same daily cure encouraged me to complete them. I was touched by my husband's assistance when he saw I was committed to participating through graduation. The Cure wasn't as easy as it sounded, but I got more out of it than I put into it, and look forward to the next one.
please make this a regular feature. so much fun to get things done (with your videos)
Yes, please make this a regular feature. It's been great.
