Great houses, but I feel compelled to point out that this is hardly a representative cross-section of DC neighborhoods. These five are literally all right next to one another. Why only Northwest DC?
@Anatale -- Because that's the rich neighborhood!
If anyone has a home from SE/SW or NE to show in a house tour bring it on! Let Apt Therapy know. We'd love to profile a greater cross-section.
As for the color of the first pic. I should know--it is mine. I did not paint it; it was here when we moved in (so lucky!), however, though recently bought a ton of paint swatches to try to figure out the name of the color. I am pretty sure it is Pratt and Lambert. Anyway, I promise to get the match soon and will post.
Glad you like it!

I loved Kyle & Erin's U Street apartment, except for the bedroom. The room looks too crowded with desk on one side of the bed and table on the other side. Otherwise, it was beautiful and airy looking.
Anatale - I think the author of the post meant a cross-section of design styles, not of geography.
"it's a cross-section of home design, DC-style!"
AT has featured some house tours from other neighborhoods...namely Capitol Hill
oh yes I love the paint color in the first photo too!
Anyone know where to get those tall curved lamps?
@LIME --
It's a design icon, and has been knocked off, so watch out with this one (you get what you pay for):

@Lime.
I got the Arco lamp thru http://www.europebynet.com/ because their shipping time (amazingly given it came from Europe!) was faster and overall cheaper than Design Within Reach.
It is super expensive for a lamp. But if you think of it as something that will last a lifetime and is basically a piece of furniture it is easier to justify. It MAKES the room.
