OK, we admit it- we love getting to peek into the homes of our readers. We love being inspired by your spaces, wowed by your design sense, and humbled by your creativity. Bathrooms especially often reveal the wilder side of your personalities- it seems many of you are more willing to take a chance on brighter colors and quirkier accents than in the main living areas of your homes. Amanda and Josh's bright and fun powder room is a perfect example of why we love funky private spaces.
Yesterday, we learned an important home improvement tip firsthand: taking a picture of a room helps you back away and see it from a different perspective. This is something we all know here at Apartment Therapy, right? Because every day we look at pictures of rooms and think about what we do like and what we would change.
A huge window in the bathroom — that's the feature we miss most from our previous home. Though we felt compelled to add window films, natural light was a joy first thing in the morning. Click through for our favorite DC bathrooms that have natural light.

Q: A Murano glass mirror my wife and I picked up in Venice has undergone a series of trials and tribulations, and unfortunately the mirror itself has a large crack running down the middle. The Murano glass "frame" that borders the mirror is what we want to salvage, but in order to fix a previous problem I pretty much permanently affixed it to the mirror using epoxy. Do I just glue another mirror onto the cracked one? Or is something more inventive called for?

This is the true story of a real person with a rental bathroom, trying to accessorize and make the best of it. We moved into our apartment a year ago, and had virtually nothing to put in the bathroom, except for wedding gifts. And so we went shopping for accessories.
Lately, I've been drooling over antique butcher blocks. This is probably because my kitchen is about to inherit one from the early 1900's and I can hardly wait! While I already have a plan in store for mine, I've become fascinated by how others are incorporating them into their kitchens.
This unusual set including dresser, mirror and matching nightstands will make for a very glamorous bedroom.

If there's one place we hadn't though about adding color before, it was a showerhead. But, now the showerhead — like the iPod and the laptop and the toaster — come in a rainbow of colors. Thank goodness! And thank you, Grohe!
