• 2. Galvanized metal will never cease to win me over, and this craft room application is no exception. We like how the Ikea specials on the bottom row have been given a little rustic charm when paired with worn wood and other vintage-y galvanized containers.
• 3, 4 However, while I love the streamlined look and visual ease of the matching galvanized metal art supply holders, I also appreciate the easy to spot look of glass containers. Old jars, candy dishes, and large glass canisters are perfect inexpensive ways to corral renegade supplies. Simply grouping them by color or type and lining them up creates a pleasing displaying.
• 5. Holy organization! I suppose the degree of neatness has a lot to do with the type of art ad craft supplies. As a painter— and a messy one at that— I can never in a million years picture my supplies so pristinely arranged, but I sure do appreciate craftster Lisa Brown's, impeccable order.

As pretty as these spaces look, there is no way I will ever have an organized studio, even though it feels so fresh when I do have it in order.
It just doesn't work for me. Ho hum. :(

I think as an artist I need a degree of chaos. Otherwise it is like a clean, nice notebook...becomes scary to write anything in it and perhaps...ruin it. :)

I like it. My craft desk is a little OCD too and things do get disorganized when I start a project, but I can't handle things being..out of place..when I'm not using it.

I die for Shauna and Stephen's house tour - I love it dearly, and it's been one of my favorites on AT!
Also, color-coding makes me swoon. I'm an easy guy to please.

Mmmmm... the galvanized metal craft space is perfection. I think it would only improve with a few paint splatters. I love that it looks worn in- I agree, pristine craft spaces are intimidating!

i've been in a lot of art studios/ shops/ creative spaces.
the most pro and dedicated ones are always organized.
maybe not -pristine- but definitely organized.
the myth of the crazy disorganized artist is a myth and only represents the minority of those that attain any measure of success.
