We've been on the lookout for canopy beds and like this one from EQ3. Sadly, there is no EQ3 in DC. Has anyone seen this bed in person?

Have you been to an EQ3 store?
The Milo canopy bed from EQ3 comes with an unpholstered headboard and sells for $803.

HmmmMmmm -
Bad Feng Shui: Bars crossed above the bed can lead to marital strife and disharmony.

I have seen this bed in real-life, and laid on it. Very glamorous. It's definitely more feminine than masculine. The headboard is customizable, but you probably knew that from the website... EQ3 is my favorite furniture store.

I have seen it in person; I think it looks like a helicopter. If you enjoy aerospace/industrial drama it may be a good style fit. However, in my experience EQ3 furniture quality is been less than stellar.

I have seen it and I think its poor quality...somewhat flimsy.

thank you thank you thank you! this post came literally right on time for me - my parents are getting my wife & me a new bed for our first anniversary and we were heading to ikea to find something reasonably priced. as it turns out, there is an EQ3 gallery in the jordan's furniture located right next to aforementioned ikea! we will definitely be looking into their beds.

i saw the bed last weekend at the norfolk va store when it caught my attention with its style. didnt look up close to see the quality though. if you would like me to check it out for you, let me know & i will stop by in the next week (its 5 minutes from my office & 10 from home, no biggie!)
or, you can make it down here to norfolk in 3-4 hours. i make it to woodbridge ikea in 3 (will be there sunday actually). good luck.

Infidelity, lack of caring, distrust, and selfishness are the more likely culprits.

The quality is okay, but I'd ask to look at the instructions before purchasing. I bought EQ3's double waterfall bed (http://teamsugar.com/group/100393/yummarket/396319) and it was the worst experience I've ever had putting furniture together. It had around 120 screws and nothing was pre-drilled. It took me 2 days because I had to charge my cordless drill over and over and over since it took so much power to get the screws into the wood. I called the store because I thought it was a mistake, but they said that's how it was supposed to be.
On top of that, when I went to move I had to take apart the bed to get it out of the room and realized the instructions had me glue the entire thing together. After another call to the store I ended up just hammering it apart. Word of advice: don't glue anything.

that harsh metal "X" overhead seems pretty distracting, if not, as was previously said, "bad feng shui"--the bed has a gleaming, robust presence, so perhaps that "X" really stands out.
