Great Book Resource at the National Building Museum

NBM_books5.jpgIt is no secret that the shop at the National Building Museum is a treasure trove of unique and fun accessories, gift items and toys. But did you know that it also houses one of the best collections of architectural, design and just plain ammusing books that we've come across...

Ranging from “Green for Dummies” to complex green construction, they also have an extensive selection of volumes on architecture, preservation and sustainability -- there is plenty here to inspire and reflect upon. For the more offbeat, we particularly enjoyed perusing "Architecture by Birds and Insects" and "Ductigami: The Art of the Tape."

Of course most of these books are surely available online, but nothing beats flipping through a book in your hand before you decide to purchase it. You could easily spend hours just browsing. We certainly did.
