6-24 miss pixes.jpegRecently relocated from Adam Morgan's to 14th St., Miss Pixie's carries a wide range of goods: from antique tables to contemporary local artwork, Buddha sculptures to park benches. The items are random, which makes it all the more fun to see what Pixie brings in next...

The new location is in a much bigger in space that was a car dealership from 1930 to 2006. Miss Pixie kept some of the auto shop features, including the original art deco doors, which are now painted a bright yellow.

The back area, formerly the car repair shop, will soon stock garden and architectural pieces. We can't wait to see the new inventory! New items arrive on Thursdays and a loyal following (customers "in-the-know") visit the store every Thursday to have first pick.

We find staff very responsive in answering questions and giving dimensions. They will also put items on hold until you have a chance to look at them in person. Miss Pixie's is a truly local treat: the store will help arrange for local shipping, but does not sell online.

Below are more photos of the store and a photo of the famous Miss Pixie.

whoa- what happened to all these pictures? They are so pixelated you can't really see anything. Is this part of the whole slideshow update problem?

Yikes, I agree, it's hard to view these images. Thought it was just my browser.

They need to be sized down - if you right click and view the picture, it's humongous.

Phew. I just saw the empty storefront in AM and panicked. I've bought a few lovely things there over the years.

I love Miss Pixies, but I really think you should fix the pictures because they don't help sell the post...
