I want that couch!

I've been seeing these kind stuffs 3 years ago and I love it! The sofa in the 1st photo for me had all the perfect patchwork combination!

I can see a small occasional chair with a lot of personality done up in patchwork. They had some at Liberty (of London) a few years ago, refurbished antiques. But a whole sofa is too much too much for my taste. Too too much.

A little too busy for my eyes to look at every day. There has to be an easier way to work with party spills.

i love these and would totally put it in my house. but since that is not going to happen anytime soon, i have been using loud patchwork on the throw pillows. the nice part about that is the ability to change up the look with a new pillow cover.

Leah - if you want something neutral to cover your red wine stain, consider a sheepskin throw. They're comfy and easy to clean -- we wash ours in the shower with shampoo.

Wow! That's kinda busy. If you're just worried about red wine stains, Folex neutralizes it. I've seen red wine stains come out of white carpet easily. I bought it at Long's Drugs, but I think I saw it at the grocery store, too. Then you can have upholstery and carpet you really like.

i went ahead and bought the white sofa despite my red wine habit. it's a microfibre ultra suede and i got a 5-year warranty for $70 that covers ANY stains that won't come out or tears that can't be repaired.

Reminds me too much of the patchwork-oversized-slipcover trend of the early 90's - and not in a good way.

Unless you're into replacing and reupholstering your furniture every few years, stick to classic styles and solid colors - or at least a single patterned fabric.
