A Color that Makes You Happy?

Each day waking up in the lavender blue bedroom was a happy day because we loved the paint color - Benjamin Moore feather soft 1431. The shade, coolness and intensity changed according to the light, but it's always incredibly lovely and satisfying. Do you have a paint color that makes you happy?

Though we weren't pleased with many elements of our DC condo, the lavender bedroom color was always a pleasure. We're thinking of bringing it to our new place...

Butter yellow! Nice with teak, walnut, black, white, primary or subdued reds and blues, 40's and 50' stuff, modern art... everything! Makes any room sunny, regarding of the weather. Much appreciated here in Quebec where we have a LOT of dreary weather.

Practically acts like a neutral. Tried to live without it... put other colors on my walls... came back to it. I don't have it all over, but in my main spaces, it's my absolute chouchou.

I painted a former bedroom a very pale purple that was practically white.

The walls had a lovely glow to them, and it secretly pleased me that if a guy moved in next, he probably would have no idea his room was purple ;)

Bright red. My room has a bright red wall behind my bed, and the rest are a tan/linen color. It makes me happy.

My big red corduroy couch also makes me happy.

Sherwin Williams' 'Dupioni' and 'Milk Pail' from their Martha Stewart collection. I've used these colors in 3 different bedrooms/bathrooms in 3 different houses. These colors still make me feel serene and happy every day :)

btw, 'Dupioni' and 'Milk Pail' are shades of pale blue/green-they remind me of the color of blue sea glass.

I recently painted my bedroom a very similar color! I was hoping for more of a purple hue when I bought it, but was very very happy with the results!

I want to know where the bed is from too! Love it!

I'm a green fan, & will always have a green room in my house (usually a pale version)

Hey, do those shelf units slide in and out of the headboard? If so, super design!

The bed is Ikea's malm design, which Ikea still makes but no longer in white.

hey bepsf - i too love pink but can't commit to an all out intense version of it. just found Benjamin Moore White Zinfandel - very very white w/ a hint of pink (does NOT read peach or beige). i'm about to do the foyer w/ it.

Thanks TAMom - I'm considering repainting a bathroom and a nice pale pink like that would be rather fun I think.

Ralph Lauren's Architectural Cream, which in my bedroom looks like a soft khaki-gray. Makes me melt.

I love different shades of grey, as well as darker blues. I have a friend who hates red because she thinks it's overused in design, so I'm always trying to incorporate red into whatever I do, just to irk her :)

I just painted my new bedroom a crisp blue from Behr called Lively Tune. I'm obsessed. I was all set to hang things on the walls, but I have yet to hang anything because I don't want to break up the expanse of gorgeous cooling blue. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Chocolate brown next to any shade of blue or sage green. Black with red. Black with khaki. We are allowed to paint at our new place but I'm not sure I want the hassle of repainting later.

Behr Butter Cookie. It's a complex shade, so that it changes depending on the light, but is always warm, welcoming, and soothing, without being soporific. We have it in our living room and love how it looks all day long--and the mood it sets.

We've got Behr Monaco in the bedroom and love that, too; my favorite white is Behr's Pot of Cream, which is clean with no harshness, and really looks creamy.

I have always loved Baer BLISS BLUE... I boldly painted my whole living room BLISS BLUE and added lots of grounding, neutral elements and it was the happiest room in the world. A runner up was Fresh Aire (Home Depot no-VOC) Tranquil Pond, and another favorite was Benjamin Moore HOT LIPS.

BRIGHT yellows and oranges! Warm, sunny, golden, gorgeous. I love the look of a room drenched in warmth.

Alternatively, I adore the look of my bright yellow-verging-on-orange bedsheets against my pale warmish purple walls.
