apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Closeup: Scott's Hidden Historical Treasures

In Scott's organized home everything has a place. Hidden in cupboards and walls and peeping through the glass cabinets are some fascinating collections. A wall safe was built into the 2-foot wide wall. Look carefully at the bookshelves and you'll find vintage paperbacks, WPA state guides, and antique toy trains.

A large vinyl record collection is stored in the living room cabinets. Scattered throughout the apartment and hanging on the walls are vintage industrial signs like the old greyhound bus sign in the kitchen and the old DC bus scroll on the fireplace.

I love the wall color. What brand and color is it?

I love all the wall colors actually, but I was thinking more of the orange and gray walls. Thx

I had that orange in my bedroom and hated it. However, if I had accessorized it the way Scott did I could have learned to love it. Proves once again that the objects make the room. Nice job.
