Approaching the fifth year of DesignPhiladelphia, we can't help but be pretty excited about it. With over 125 exhibitions spread out over a week, people coming from all around, and some of the most innovative and influential young designers showcasing their art - what's not to be excited about?
DesignPhiladelphia is a city-wide cultural event that spotlights all things design. Ranging from architecture to interior design, fashion to product design, textile to graphic design (they're all connected in some way, shape or form). Attendees can experience DesignPhiladelphia via exhibitions, workshops, studio tours, lectures, special events and product launch parties.
This year you can do anything from taste your way around Philadelphia on a trolley with the Mural Arts Program, attend an opening reception for "Early Furniture by George Nakashima" at the Moderne Gallery to visiting private homes in the illustrious Old City neighborhood for Modernism in America's Oldest Neighborhood.
