What inspired you to use color? I've lived in rentals for so long that I've had it with white bedrooms. I love color, and this combination is really appealing to me. I also wanted a bedroom where I felt calm and this combination of blue and green helps me with that...
Color Tip: Don't be afraid to experiment on a small area, or poster board before you commit to painting the actual room. Since colors attract the eye to mistakes, be really careful with edges, especially if they are against a contrasting color.
Colors Used: We used Valspar paint from our local Lowe's in an eggshell glaze. The ceiling and trim are called Canyon Cloud. I can look up the others if anyone wants to know.
Fall Colors Introduction -------------------------------
Welcome, everyone, to our Fourth Annual Fall Colors Sharing & Contest. We're looking for the most beautiful & colorful home in the world and sharing all of the great ideas we get with our readers. This year we're amping things up and hoping to do things better than ever. There are two basic phases, the Sharing Phase and the Voting Phase...
1. Sharing Phase - you comment, judges decide
The 40 best, completed entries will be posted on a daily basis for three weeks. You can view them all at anytime via our new, improved contest pages under ALL ENTRIES. During this time your comments are VERY IMPORTANT as our six judges will be choosing 16 finalists from each region based on comments and their own colorful opinion.
2. Voting Phase - you vote till you drop
Starting October 20th, finalist voting will begin on a daily basis through our new bracketed voting system, which will pit our 16 finalists against one another until only one remains. Sound exciting? We hope so.
Best, Maxwell

The wall colors are nice enough...
...but she desperately needs a lesson on furniture arrangement - the dresser/nightstand/bed/table jammed together and lined up on one wall like a discount furniture store is just tragic.
...and the wire hangers hanging off the dresser on the opposite side of the room is somewhat less than elegant as well.

not to mention any names but...
...someone needs to learn to be a little more polite when critiquing others...
...how rude!

Sorry but I have to agree. I wonder about the choices that go up. This looks like a thrift store I can't imagine it being stylish. The walls are great!

omit my opinion of the furnishings, which separately are very cool, but don't quite all mesh well together in the room...
i do like the color though...the green is a soothing tranquil color, which is what she sees as shes climbing into bed. the blue is bright and energizing, which is what shes sees in the morning when her eyes open. they work well together and prove very functional from a mood-setting standpoint, i think...

I use these two colors throughout my house, along with neutrals and a pop of burnt orange. I love the way the cool blue and green play off each other. Glad to see I'm not the only one who digs this color combo!

I like the dresser and nightstand. Where are they from?

wow...hate much? bottom line is, it's my home and how i like to live (usability) determines the set up...not some top design wet dream...whether it appears thrift store and tragic or not.
those are not wire hangers, get some glasses you old goat.
yes just one room...we bought our home in july and this and hallway is all we've finished so far.
get lives people and think about being kinder to the next person.
to those of you who were constructive...thank you! i wish you luck if your room is included in this competition.
