Finding Romeo and Juliet Sheets?
Good Questions

RomeoDuvetSmall.jpg Q: I've got a thing for type, and a friend sent me a pic of these bed sheets. Here's the thing: I have no idea where to buy them either online or in person, or even how much a king-size set is. I'm going crazy! Help!

Editor: Chyss- It seems this duvet cover (and matching shower curtain) feature the entire text of Romeo and Juliet on a single panel. They were created by Hahn Smith Design, but we haven't been able to locate a retailer. Can any of our readers help Chryss find this bedding set?

Here's a post on MoCo Loco from 2004 which doesn't bode well for actually finding them

They were created for Caban, which was a spinoff from Club Monaco. Unfortunately, Caban stores closed a few years ago.

I'm sorry, Caban stores closed their doors last year. They were the Home division of the Club Monaco group, and had many different types of type bedding. Perhaps keep an alert on Ebay, and put up a Wanted request Toronto and Vancouver craigslists (Caban stores were Canadian).

Caban's closing was one of the worst retail occurrences ever, IMO. To say I loved that store was the understatement of the century.

I would love the shower curtain. Ah well. I hope you are able to find something.

eBay currently has ZILCH on this, and if eBay doesn't have it... Le sighe, because I was envious.

Good luck in the future!

I wonder if you could DIY sheets like that. Dump the text into Adobe Illustrator or some such (you choose the text and font!) and save as a PDF or some such. Then find sheets you love in plain white and see if you can't run those through a giclee printer. In a major metropolitan area, you should be able to find some source for such a printer at a reasonable price. The trick will be finding inks that will stand up to the rigors of washing. The printers will take paper to canvas, so sheets will be no problem. Let's see them if you do this. cheers!

I have (had) this shower curtain. It's locked in storage (hopefully! unless my ex trashed it!!!) and it is simply amazing.

The sheet sets didn't sell too well as they were frighteningly over-priced at Caban. I do wish someone would make them again. I want my curtain back. :(
