Flickr Finds: Bright Red Kitchen with DC-Themed Decor

9-29-red-kitchen.jpg

We asked you to share DC-themed decor from your homes and are loving your ideas! Last week we showed you the DC historical wall art from an AT Chicago reader. Can you tell what the DC theme is in this bright red kitchen? Find out the answer and see another DC decor idea below the jump...

In the bright red kitchen DC bus passes from 1945 are framed above the stove. The bus passes were bought on eBay.

On this page, the black and white bathroom is decorated with photos of DC musicians. Thanks, theholidaygirl928 for posting your photos in our "Apartment Therapy DC" flickr group and sharing your home decor!

Thanks also to Joe for inspiring the idea in his house tour.

Do you have DC-themed home decor? If so, please post photos in our flickr group "Apartment Therapy DC" or email your pics with DC DECOR in the subject line to: dc(at)apartmenttherapy(dot)com.

I used to have a stove just like that and two bathrooms with the same time - maybe it's a DC thing? :)

I have that exact stove and similar tile...and have had that tile before, so it must be a DC thing! :)

Can we get some more pictures of the red kitchen? A longer/wider view, for instance? And is magnetic paint used to hold the spices on the wall next to the stove?

Hi-

That's my kitchen & bathroom. The white "wall" next to the stove is actually my refrigerator. You can view more photos of my kitchen here: http://flickr.com/photos/theholidaygirl/tags/kitchen/

And yes, I believe that everybody in Adams Morgan with an apartment built in the 40s-50s has the same bathroom tile. :-)
