Folding Greenhouse by Daniel Schipper

We are always on the lookout for ways to better utilize small urban balconies or patios, and so we love this folding greenhouse. Made of recyclable plastic, this mini-greenhouse can be folded flat for easy storage when not in use.

We think this concept greenhouse by Dutch designer Daniel Schipper would be an excellent addition to any small urban space. Though this design is not yet available for sale, Schipper is maintaining a list of interested buyers for the future.

it keeps the frost off of them if you plant early, or even if you plant at the right time and then it cools down again and frosts late in the spring like this year...

It traps the heat inside and keeps them growing. It could also work late season if you are growing short things, my tomatoes and peppers wouldn't fit in the fall though.

If it worked for various planters and was adjustable, I would say, it is amazing, however, it looks like it works with that point planter because of the design...
