Not your typical stuffy antique shop. With 3 creative co-owners and 6+ decor-laden rooms, this upper Georgetown oasis is a happy mix of the refined — Gustavian chairs, French linens, crystal sconces — and the quirky — is that a taxidermy hawk next to the sea urchin wreath?
The store opened 12 years ago, and has since become a coveted spot for design-minded Washingtonians looking for visual inspiration, exceptional lightning fixtures, and unique home accents — they flaunted the alabaster antlers long before they became a décor craze.
In general the furniture prices ($300-$3,000+) may be a little hard to swallow during times like these, but the remarkable accent pieces (i.e., antique wine barrel-turned-sunburst-mirror) and artwork (especially that of graphic designer/co-owner Moki Heston) are well worth their mostly sub-$100 price tags.
One shopper noted that it’s worth a visit “just to educate your taste,” and we totally agree. Co-owner and Interior designer Jackie Dunn has an amazing ability to incorporate what she calls “junk” into a soothingly sophisticated, casually elegant setting. PS- Don't miss the backyard garden strewn with salvaged treasures.

These wonderful shops are the best in DC, and they have great neighbouring shops, too. Worth a trip up from the main intersection in Georgetown. It's a shame most people visiting DC miss these shops up Wisconsin Avenue. Beside Tone on Tone in Bethesda, they are my favourites. Definitely worth a trip. Thanks for this post.

Sometimes I think I'm the only one in Seattle who doesn't have a Craftsman home. Anyone have any suggestions for Seattle area boutiques with this sort of style?
