i have a question - how do you clean canvas bags? I have shrunk several bags to the point of uselessness. So, other than letting them get filthy or trying to spot clean (which also doesn't work) what the heck do I do?

Save me from Plastic bags...Please...I forget to carry a tote to do groceries and end up toting more plastic/paper bags.

I promise these canvas totes would be my new bestfriend and I'll carry them everywhere.

Chusmabilly:

I hand wash my canvas bags in the tub and then hang them to dry. I've even used rubbing alcohol to get an ink stain out of my everyday canvas bag.

thanks for the tip, cinema. I have shrunk two fairly large totes (about the size in the photo) to baby purse sizes. I will hand wash this weekend

I'd love 'em to pieces.

About cleaning, my coworker took a similar university logo bag to the dry cleaner, who wouldn't touch it. Coworker had washed it but it was wrinkly, which is why she took it to drycleaner.

The details still need to be tweaked.

1. At first it says the winner gets all three bags shown, but the rules and submission form say just one.

2. The deadline is still wrong.

These bags look great (love that they are lined, have a zipper, and have so many pockets), but this contest is confusing. Supposedly the form is fixed now, but it asks you to pick one bag, while the post says you win all 3.

The contest is VERY confusing. Plus, I just got an "error" saying that the contest will conclude on October 16th.

Sigh.
