Good Questions: Desperately Seeking Rug Information

OverstockRug.jpg

ATDC reader cinematique is trying to find the perfect rug:

Hey AT I need your help!!
Overstock has a rug I love (Doha 36) but the 8' x 5' is too small for my living room. I'm wondering if anyone knows the manufacturer or another store where I could purchase this from so that I can get a larger rug. I've searched all over the internet and Overstock seems to be the only site carrying this rug and the other rugs in its collection. I also contacted Overstock customer service and it was no help.

Thanks,
cinema

Can anyone help cinematique find more information about this rug? We also wrote to Overstock but to no avail...

I am a designer and did a little detective work for you and came up with nothing. I hope someone can help you but consider the fact that some companies will sell exclusive designs directly to overstock to make money on a line they may have dropped or never put out to the retail world.

Good luck!

Retailers dont disclose their sources for one very good reason: They don't want you going somewhere else to buy it.

There are plenty of other rugs out there - Just find something else that fits your style and your needs.

Creative accents is a custom rug company that can do any size, design, color you want. I'm a designer and I have them make custom rugs for me all the time. They have a decent price point, probably not as cheap as overstock... but if you have to have that design... they are your best bet.

Why not buy 2 of the rugs and place them side by side for a total size of 8X10? Or 3 for 8X15? You could also have the rugs professionally stitched together.

The pattern is large enough and symmetrical enough that using multiples of the same rug could look cool. Think of it as a large scale version of Flor.

And you really can't beat that price!

RichardinLA, they are only selling one rug unfortunately. So, I am very sad. My search continues..
