Good Questions: What Chair Will Match the Linden Sofa from Z Gallerie?

LindenSofaZGallerie.jpg
ATDC reader havfruen asked for help over in the DC Open Thread, but we thought we would open up the question to a wider audience:

Looking for advice...We are buying the Z Gallerie Linden sofa but do not want to spend $900 on the matching occasional chair. Suggestions for a low-end chair that would work with this sofa? Thanks!...

Any suggestions for comfortable, inexpensive armchairs from our resourceful readers?

Congrats on the new sofa and not getting a matchy-matchy chair.

Whatever you choose, bear in mind that your sofa is a very large scale - and your chair(s) will have to be able to hold their own, otherwise they could look dinky next to the big sofa.

I'd suggest hitting the flea markets, eBay and Craigslist for a pair of vintage high-backed Wing Chairs or Leather French-style Club Chairs.

I think all of MamaChilanga's selections were great. I wasn't thrilled about the floral Maslin one but it could be still nice. Good luck with your search. You have lots of choices.

As an ex z gallerie employee, the linden isn't going to last you long.....
after a couple of months, the cushions lose their shape
and if u change your upholstery (custom order)
it will take you more than 6months..... up to a year.
if you still want to purchase it,
i say go with a totally diferent color side chair but the same material.
good luck with your sofa.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! And thanks for posting my question, Colleen.

Jen, would you say the Z Gallerie sofa holds any up worse than others of similar price? Crate & Barrel and Macy's have our runner ups at this point, but we really love the style of this one. Is the quality difference that great?

Does anyone else have Z Gallerie furniture experience? Thanks again!

Don't forget to go to visitzgallerie.com and get your 10 percent off coupon. I printed one for myself. Zgallerie uses different manufacturers so everyone must have different experiences. I'm interested in the Linden Sofa and am going to have a custom order. I actually found this question because I was looking for reviews of Zgallerie furniture and searched the whole web. I thought about it and decided that the sample has been in the store for quite some time and it still looks good.
