Eco-Friendly Furniture from Urban Woods

UrbanWoodsWilcox.jpg

We love the lines of this eco-friendly furniture from Urban Woods. Made from reclaimed wood and eco-friendly materials, these pieces are finished in water-based non-toxic stains. The environmentally friendly manufacturing process is designed to maintain the patina of the vintage old-growth wood...

Much of the reclaimed wood was originally harvested and milled 50 to 100 years ago, and has been seasoned in sunny Southern California for decades, "giving the wood unparalleled stability and resistance to future distortion or structural movement." All woods are reclaimed from local sources in Los Angeles; Urban Woods does not use tropical hardwoods, MDF, or toxic glues.

I'm assumming that they are pretty pricey since they don't have any prices on their website?

The entire dining room is beautiful.... avajames is right though, eco-friendly, not recession-friendly. Sad for me.

I'm glad that the selection of eco-friendly furniture and fittings is increasing. That's good for us, our homes and good for the planet, too!

I was curious about my designer friends' fave products, so I asked them. Here are their grean green goodies, (and a few of my own, too!)

Furniture manufacturers rarely put prices on their websites because they don't sell to the public - However retailers do if they sell online.

2modern.com has a couple of their styles listed for sale. I suppose it depends on what you deem "pricey".

Some of these pieces have really nice lines. And it's great that it's all reclaimed lumber. I don't see anything about how they put the furniture together though. Is it going to last?
