Idyllic Tabletop Garden by Chris Collicott
Washington DC

7-14-idyllic-garden.jpgIt's green month at AT and we're exploring ways to add green products, like the obvious: plants(!), to our home. So we love the Idyllic Tabletop Garden by Chris Collicott, which is small enough to fit on an office desk, book shelf or kitchen table. A very zen-like green addition to the home or office. See another Chris Ellicott garden below the jump...

This is Chris Collicott's Idyllic Table Herb Garden. Which do you prefer? Where would you put it? Both are available from UnicaHome.

recycling is a good thing! I loved this idea when you posted it last year. It's a nice throw back to the mini gardens, but expanded from bonsai.

Both are cute but how long are they going to last? Small containers are frequently not low maintenance (tiny amounts of water, constantly) and those herbs are not going to last very long in those tiny pots. I just don't imagine it will thrive.

I used to have a Zen garden at work I created with a Mexican pottery dish, washed beach sand and a few collected stones. Since I don't have a green thumb, the sand and rocks worked ever so much better and didn't die when I was on vacation. I had a small shovel, rake etc. My Dad even made me a Toombstone (my boss's name was Toombs). Whenever I got mad at him, I'd bury his stone!
