Recycled Wood Coffee Table from Vastu
Washington DC

7-23-vastu-table-1.jpg

On a recent visit to Vastu, we found this coffee table made from recycled wood. With its warm colors and gorgeous grains, you'd never know the wood was recycled. The overlapping pieces are nicely designed. More photos below the jump...

Although very popular, the table is near the discount items downstairs. When you're downstairs, also check out the artist studios hosted by Vastu.

That is almost exactly what I've been looking for...a large rectangular coffee table, not too low to the ground, top made of wood, legs made of metal...I wish I were in NY...

Jess2nola,

That coffee table combo is sold online at vivaterra.com. It is cheaper if you order it from the online store as opposed to from a retailer as the retailers tend to charge the white glove delivery $. We purchased ours from vivaterra and have been very happy with it.

That appears to be from the same company I purchased my very large console table out of. The wooden tops are identical. I receive compliments all the time on it and questions about where I purchased it.

Luckily, with designer access to wholesale goods, I bought it through a company called Roost....for far less than you would pay for it in a retail store. If you own a business and have purchasing ability like this, you should check that company out anyway. They have many beautiful pieces of furniture and accessories to die for.

I bought this from vivaterra too. While I'm happy with the look of it, know there is assembly required and it may not sit flat once it's together! I think my top was a little warped, but you can only tell because one corner of the leg is about an inch off the ground. You can't tell with the rug.

Oh yeah, and you can get wicked splinters from the sides of the wood tops.
