Students Build Greenest Building in Canada

Natural Home features the greenest building in Canada, built by students in Fleming College's Sustainable Building Design Program. Located in Madoc, Ontario, the performing arts center is being made from straw bale. It's designed by Chris Magwood, an instructor at Fleming College and co-author of three instructional books on how to design, plan and build with straw. More information below the jump...

Since 2005, Chris Magwood has taught students in the Sustainable Building Design Program to build sustainable public buildings for host communities. Magwood and his students have built a thrift store, a food bank and a classroom.

I think the name of the school is Sir Sanford Fleming College. I used to live in the area.
