When I purchased this 80s-era modular home in 2004, it had no windows along the southern exposure, wall-to-wall carpeting, an unfinished basement, and faux woodgrain styrofoam ceiling beams. I completely gutted the house and refitted it as a mid-century modern chalet. I added wood to almost every surface (ceilings, floors, walls) and opened up the view with several new windows.

We ended up buying this house, but it needed a LOT of work. We set to work almost as soon as the ink dried on the closing papers.
