We saw these white claw foot chairs on Alchemie's blog and had to ask readers: hot or not? They certainly make this otherwise traditional dining room more interesting. What do you think of the chairs? Survey below the jump...

Not. They look like dogs

Totally yes. Because they look like dogs. But to be fair, I also like some pretty wierd stuff, especially things that make people look twice.

Technically, I think they are lion's paw-foot. And were, I believe, the trademark of a certain 70s designer famous for his plaster-looking furniture very often with "cat feet." If I come across his name, I will repost.

Did you forget to include the survey, or am I missing something?

I feel like my chair would start walking away from under me... creepy, but humorous.

I guess if they looked more like "kitties," y'all would like 'em more??

Hahahaha - Patrick, you're so right...
I like 'em - because they are tastefully done and have loads of character.

I love everything in the room except those chair legs. Gross.

That is a wonderful room. If only you could replace those chairs! It's not just the claw feet. They do nothing for the room.

Absolutely, kiljoywashere.
It's not even "designoid"

I dig them.. I just wish they were at slightly different stances so they did not quite look like they were in formation.

The legs just don't flow into the shape of the chair very well.

i kinda like them!
theywould work great in a room with that white sofa that was bent up and looked like it was climing up the wall that was posted on here a couple months ago.

I'm with the people who are afraid they will run away.

The chairs definitely look like they could start sprinting away at any given moment. It's a sort of uneasy feeling, but it would be an awesome concept for some sort of 'Arry Potter movie set. :)

I would totally dig them if the backs were more integrated into the paws. Right now it looks like a dog had an unfortunate accident in a chair factory.

ugh...creepy unless it's a one-time Halloween look.

I would like it as a one piece accent, not 8 pairs of paws, that is too much
