Hot or Not? Innermost Bigoli Lamp Shades
Washington DC

6-18 bigoli 3.jpg

Spirals of tubular mesh and wire make up this crazy lamp shade from Innermost. We noticed that it's one of those items that everyone (and we mean everyone!) instinctively reaches out to touch. But would you put it in your home? Survey and more photos below the jump...

A metal and plastic cylinder holds the spirals away from the light bulb, allowing light to shine through the shade. The Bigoli is highly dramatic so you'd need the right room for this lamp shade.

I'm trying to picture a world in which this would be a fun thing, and it looks like it would be kind of hard to do.

Oh crap...I messed up my own joke/reference!

I meant to quote the always-sexy and sarcastic Han Solo when he said to the injured Luke (as he's cutting open the Tauntaun to stick Luke inside so he'll stay warm) "..and I thought they smelled bad on the outside!"

It looks like a jellyfish with really bad allergies tried to hold back a sneeze.

Not in my house.

I prefer not to be attacked by flagella when turning on a light.

I saw this at the Conran shop in NY last summer. It is fun to twist those spirally thingies. It would make a great toy. Speaking of tapeworms, you can now buy meds for cats without a prescription, (Petsmart) which saves alot of money, but not enough to buy this lamp.
