Most of these "figurative" things tend to seem at least a tad creepy. I've seen very few that don't.

I think they're ok, it's just the expression of the posture makes them look like they've fallen because they just got kicked in the nards, or if you please, punched in the gut, ate some bad clams, etc. If they didn't look sick, they'd be somewhat more appealing. I'd just feel pretty uneasy sitting on someone who might have to get up and run, if you know what I mean.

OMG! we had two of those in red in our house when I was growing up. They were the funnest chairs to sit in. I loved them, and I haven't seen them in ages. They're insanely comfy (we had them in front of the TV in our den), and if you rock backwards forcefully (ie you're not supposed to do this, especially with designer furniture, but who cares when you're a kid), the chair will rock with you and then come right back up. wow. thanks for the flashback.

i would love the red one in the shape of a bird, though. imagine? the wings at the sides sort of enclosing you. tail feathers part instead of the legs.

I just think they're kind of silly, though I could see the appeal for kids.

They used to have these chairs in the kids section of the local library where I grew up.

It is from '68..an Oliver Mourgue Bouloum sofa. Actually quite comfortable to lounge in. A bit difficult to move around the home and would require 'low' pieces to accompany but very fun.
