Its like an ever ever living gallery in your home..I think I love red again, this make me love red. Its such a creative and happy place. I think all your things even like each other, they seems to be all happy together.

I have a comment/question about house tour slideshows.

Why does it take so long for each photo to load in the slideshows? Photos in the regular post load almost instantly, but slideshow photos take nearly 20 seconds each. I'm guessing the site needs the individual click-throughs from the slideshows and the advertisement background for revenue, but I wonder if they're creating such a tedious experience that people don't look at them at all?

I love the house, and the eclectic mix of art and texture and textiles everywhere. I'm really drawn to interiors like this.

I'm not happy about the gallery loading so slowly. I know AT has to pay the bills, but Bloomies' ad is hogging bandwith. I'll be looking at only the house tours that really intrigue me from now on out...

I agree with Sarahisaghost, I really liked the look of this place, but gave up after the first few pictures as the massive advertisement on either side was distracting from the look of their house, plus it was making every single pic take forever to load.
I loved what I saw in the post though. Beautiful.

I rarely make an effort to look at AT anymore, mainly because I don't feel inspired by many posts...let alone house tours.

This home is absolutely delightful. No one is trying too hard, it's eclectic and welcoming, and I find myself inspired once again.

There are so many charming aspects that it's hard to pinpoint what exactly I love about the home. It is rich in personality and speaks volumes about the part of the world they live in.

I absolutely love those frames with the cross-cut wood in them. Anyone have any details about where those can be found, or what to call them?

What a great house tour! It is wonderfully eclectic and fun! It's great that they don't have a specific style, it only adds to the fun and intrigue of the home. You never know what you will see next. Beautiful!

Jumping on the bandwagon! I really wanted to see this slideshow, but just couldn't get past the slow loading time and full page ad background. I can handle the side bars, but jeez!

There is so much to love about this home. Not any specific element, but the fact that there is so much color, texture, a great eclectic style and the fact it looks lived in and loved. Thanks for posting this tour and thanks to the homeowners for allowing us into their home.

I don't like it. It looks like whatever they found they put in their house. Did you buy everything that you saw at the flea market? The wall with the misc. pictures (office) is a mess.

I agree with sunrise. Totally not my style and WAY too much stuff. It looks like my crochety old aunt's house, the one who has kept stuff for all her 80 years and thinks everything must be displayed. I always have the urge to tidy up.

There is a lot going on. I appreciate some of the smaller elements - there are some cute pieces - but overall, there's something going on in almost every square foot. I get the sense that living there would stress me out. I guess I'm just a clean lines kind of gal...

I agree with some of the comments here. I love slideshows, but just clicked back here to read the comments because the big Bloomingdales ad was too distracting.

I usually don't like a lot of stuff, but this home - and its objects (not stuff) - is amazing! The owner obviously have an incredible knack for finding and choosing objects, and putting them together. It's very poeticin a way, it makes me think of fairytales. Just lovely. I bet Lientjie has an eclectic, kickass wardrobe as well!

Now THAT's a Happy Home, unforced and un-trademarked as Jonathan Adler's designs have become.

I'd love every minute as a guest in that home, but would not want to be its mistress. Too much for me to have to live with and clean.

It's clutter masquerading as art! No wonder they needed an entire floor. There is nothing harmonious or inviting in this space. It's wham bam hit you in the eye. This isn't about design, it's about letting clutter out of the closet.

globes and your heart shelf over the stove. Your white desk and maps on the wall- I could see all this in my own home.

Responding to some of the comments about the house looking too cluttered: I think the "cluttered" look is right for the styles in this house. It fits with their schtick --cozy and cottage-like --without being messy. It's nice to see a lived in space that can be stylish without looking bare and austere.

A few really interesting things - the aqua/yellow painting, the animal heads - but I'd appreciate them more in a "quiet" setting.

Much as I applaud individual style [and I really do celebrate it], I wonder if this house is too much of a good thing.

As a guest, I would find myself wondering which seat in the living room is 'neutral' [i.e. not the host/hostess'].

Does anyone else get that vibe?

If I were a guest, you couldn't get me to leave. It's awesome and explorable. But I'd go crazy living there full time. I'd need some "quiet" spaces.
