Artist Tanja Bos' DC Home
House Call

Artist Tanja Bos has a beautiful, autumn-colored home that suits her landscape paintings. The green and yellow walls provide the perfect backdrop for her artwork -- and a beautiful inspiration for Apartment Therapy's COLOR month...

We were able to tour her home during a recent Mid City Artists Open Studios.

Love her art, but WHAT is going on in that first picture? It must be two shots composited together...look at the baseboards.

Love this... and love how the dog is really smiling on that first pic!

Doesn't really seem like a house call since there's only one picture that gives you a real view of the interior space.

Love the artwork (and the dog) in the first picture, but I agree, not entirely sure how this is a house call?

sally, you're right... what's up with the baseboards?! In the second picture there's red paint dripped on the wall under her artwork, and in the last picture, there are plants blocking the stairway and a puddle on the rug! Perhaps from said cute little dog?? Weird house call.

Why are the plants blocking the stairway?

My guess is that the first picture may have a step in it, but was also taken crooked.

The last picture, I'm guessing is a shadow... it doesn't look like a puddle. Weird tour, I wouldn't think this is a house call- maybe they live upstairs and have plants in the staircase to keep people from going up there during gallery hours. Who else puts labels underneath their paintings in a home setting? I sure don't.

I find the pictures inspirational. I'm a kind of an artist, too and I really think that all the pieces of art in a house should match the atmosphere of it. It's wonderful when this is acheived in such a pleasant way. Congartulations for having your place done so beautifully! :)

Hmm, the art is beautiful, but the article kind of sucks. The text doesn't match the photos, and the photos are rather horribly taken. I'm disappointed, because this house clearly deserves better.
