DIY Wallpaper Headboard from Martha Stewart

2-27-wallpaper-headboard.jpg

After a month of DIY Inspiration (including an entire roundup of DIY Headboard Inspiration) there's still more ideas out there! Reader Laura, pointed us in the direction of this Wallpaper Headboard from Martha Stewart...

Basically, it's a small piece of wallpaper behind the bed — made much more interesting when the wallpaper is cut along the pattern's lines.

I love it! But I would love it more if the wallpaper was glued on a piece of wood or MDF and then Cut, to make more of a impact.

If the paint behind it contrasted a tad more it might give enough more oomph, but not an unqualified success as it is, and we know that I loves my Martha.

In 1973 I cut out a headboard from wrapping paper for my rental college apartment. My housemates thought it was really silly. Beat you to it Martha! Of course, she monetized this and everything else.

This was in Martha's now-defunct Blueprint back in 2007...
