ATDC readers Amy Beth and Alastair recently completed a DIY floor project inspired by a post they saw last May on ATSF:
"Hi there. I read your post about the Dwell issue showing the hive pattern made with custom flor tiles and we tried it here in our home. I thought I would share our result. We are really thrilled with it. We have been taking inspiration from you guys every step of the way in the renovation of our DC rowhouse! Thanks so much...."

"For anyone curious about the house pet flor tiles and whether they are too wiry for their pets or feet.....we chose these a bit wary at first but were sold on the easy maintenance and clean up description. It turns out they are very wiry but feel good on the feet and as you can see by one of our photos, our dogs love them. The 6 month old bulldog Noah is the one lounging in the pic.
My fiance completed this project in one afternoon with no problem. For less than a hundred dollars, we couldnt be happier with it. We had never worked with flor tiles before now but they were very simple to use and cut so we will be buying them again I'm sure.
Anyhow, thanks again for posting the idea. We love your site! Amy Beth and Alastair"
We love seeing pictures of projects by our readers, especially those inspired by posts on AT. If you have a project to share, please post your pictures to the ATDC Flickr group, or drop us an email at dc@apartmenttherapy.com.

That came out really great, looks like something you could easily have paid an arm and a leg for! Nice work!
And yes, your dog is adorable.

I looked for the House Pet flooring online but couldn't find anything. Where did you buy it?

Nice result. I am wondering how difficult the tiles were to cut.
