Sneak Peak: Tour Mid City Artists' Studios and Homes

A favorite DC event is on this weekend: the Mid City Artists Open Studios. Many participating artists work out of their homes so this is a great opportunity to simultaneously see their studios, artwork, and living spaces. Sondra Arkin, whose home and artwork we've featured here on Apartment Therapy, is opening her studio on Sunday. Shown is the front of her amazing Dupont house, where you enter to access her studio. Click below to see a mini-tour of Sondra's reorganized studio space and urban garden...

The gorgeous stone steps on the front stairs were custom-fit. The backyard is paved and we were lucky to capture the tree in full bloom. Inside the studio, you can see Sondra's wax artworks in progress. Her newest pieces are hanging on the walls.

Have you toured any Mid City Artist studios and homes?

Thanks for linking in to last year's house tour---I had not seen it. Beautiful home and studio arrangements and a real inspiration for those of us combining those two functions in one building.

Your home and your artistry is absolutely marvellous to see. It is joy to be able to see someone's home that depicts so much of themselves. Bravo
