Designer Spotlight: Thomas Pheasant's Classic DC Style


A fourth-generation Washingtonian, designer Thomas Pheasant is a staple of the DC design scene. Thomas Pheasant and his work seem to be everywhere: his furniture line is available at Baker Furniture, his Georgetown house appears in the September 2009 issue of Architectural Digest, and Canadian House & Home's website features a video of him discussing his outdoor collection. I love the pool, the bath tub, and the way there are two conversation groups in the living room. The rest is a little...ow-my-eyes!

I knew I recognized that hotel room...

The other rooms are quite elegant - I'm especially loving the Dining Room and the red Billiard Room...
...and the mirrored wall behind the bathtub is a much better depiction of the "Wall Of Mirrors" concept than the pic in today's earlier post.

I met Thomas Phesant a few months ago at an event and he was one of the nicest psudo-celebrity designers I have ever met. That always makes me feel better selecting his furniture for a client.
