Ceiling Light Parasol Shade from Urban Outfitters

CeilingParasol.jpg

We love these ceiling light shades from Urban Outfitters both for their strong pattern and their playfulness...

Available in black or red, the Ceiling Light Parasol Shade would help personalize any space. The shade can be used with a hanging cord kit (sold separately) or with any lamp base, and features umbrella construction, with a bamboo frame, wooden lock ring and carved finial detail.

Originally priced at $18, the Parasol Shade is now on sale for $9.99. The shade is a whopping 24" in diameter so it definitely packs a decorative punch far beyond its price tag.

This is the same shade (in a different color) that I used in my closet cure...

We got one to cover a brass/glass single bulb light in our rental.

Two notes. The stick to hold it open doesn't work that well and the wire that slides over the light bulb has to be pulled a bit wider to fit a standard incandescent. You would have to figure something else for a CFL bulb.

If you want this, buy it online...I just came back from UO and it's not on sale in stores. To echo lew!'s point, the umbrellas hanging in the store were not full open either and they didn't look as nice if they aren't totally open.
