I like the concept, I think it's WONDERFUL, it represents ane entire macrocosmos of idealistic, platonic and even volatile desires and a social comment of materialism... ALL IN ONE single piece! That's quite a feat! However, the actual execution LACKS greatly. Had it been a stylized version that actually took more than a glue gun and spray paint.. (which I know is not what they used, but it's what it looks like, and in design we all know, it's not what it actually is, but what the end result looks like)... I would've loved it to no end. I think a pseudo 2D version of this, would've been more beautiful, easier to clean and in the end more 'designer-like' than this. However as I said, the concept's genius!

I think if I were to have done this myself with items around the house, I'd say it was cool, if a bit...weird. But for a commercial/artistic product, it looks a bit too *tight*. Maybe if the items were a bit more open, the scale might be more appealing.

Hideous. I don't know why there is even a survey.

I like it. There are so many things to see. I would not like to dust it, however. I am not wealthy enough to put aside pragmatism in my decisions.

This is a fantastic piece of art. I think to appreciate it, you need to understand that it is about five feet tall and over three feet in diameter. As I understand it, all objects used are found - not painted.

very cool.... I don't think I'd like it as much in black...

That thing must weigh a ton, though....

what a mess.

Messy. I don't know if I'd give up on the idea entirely though. Maybe pitch the entire bottom half and replace with white strings of beads. Something uniform to balance out the busyness up top.

I can't imagine making more than one of these. Are all the things in the same place? Does it matter?

How is this art? It's barely a craft and a poorly executed one at that. If my 7 year old did it, I'd love it.

I think I would like it a lot more if it didn't have a pair of glasses front and center. It looks like Sideshow Bob in a reindeer hat to me now.

I am always reminded of the scene in Ghostworld, where the art school girl creates her "found object art," and the main character says, "It's just a tampon in a teacup."

I've actually seen this in person and might I say.... it's stunning.

One thing the post failed to mention: I had heard that the artist will work with the buyer to customize the piece to feature things that they enjoy.

Something to think about.

It's just a big old mess. Sorry, but I'm trying to reduce the amount of useless junk in my life, not increase it.

I like it, but it's virtually a disposable piece. Cleaning would be impossible rather than just difficult, and after a year of airborne grease and dust it would look horrible.
