Inexpensive Lamps from Pier 1
Washington DC

Pier1LampMontage.jpg

We got a mini-catalog in the mail today from Pier 1 and were pleasantly surprised by some of the offerings. Though the focus of the "val-u-versity" mailer was obviously back to school shoppers, we were happy to find several inexpensive lamps that we wouldn't mind adding to our collection...

The most expensive lamp pictured is a mere $60, about the right price for us given that we are notoriously fickle when it comes to lighting. We especially love the teal drum shade on the silver lamp- we have a table in a dark corner just crying out for this addition...

I have two teal drum lamps. The lampshade is even prettier in real life. It comes in red and black, too. The red is also very beautiful.

Thanks Pteetsa! I was just looking at their site wondering if the teal drum lamps came in red. Didn't see anything on their site will have to check the store out personally.

FYI, the red drum lamp is on clearance, better snap one up fast!

I also have the teal-shade/silve base lamps, they are awesome! I was worried that the dark shade would not provide much light at night, but the two of them light my entire room enough for me to read, even sew or do wirework.
