The Oprah Store launched online this past weekend, and while we're not sure it's one of our favorite things yet, it certainly is worth a peek...
While there is an actual brick and mortar Oprah store in Chicago, the web site offers a nice virtual tour and offers most everything for purchase online.
In addition to her Men’s and Woman’s departments, she does tiptoe into the home design category. The Home Living area is broken down into textiles, tabletop, home accents and seasonal decor.

We love the bright "Hand Beaded Glass Bowls", and if you don’t mind having the initial O (c'mon, O's not just for Oprah anymore...) on your tableware, her solid teal blue ceramic tea set is adorable.
It’s a stylish, cheery site that seems to be reasonably priced. Check it out.
I'd like her stuff more if there wasn't an "O" all over everything. :P

Ordinary? I mean what sets this apart? The prices? You can't tell this is anything special except that it has the logo, for "status"? They can change the slogan to "Your house should say you shopped at Oprah".

i think the only thing i liked was the colorful acrylic flatware...
i get the whole branding thing, but seriously, O's on EVERYTHING?
maybe if my name started with an O it would look like i just got things personalized, but i've never been a fan of labels- i hate bags and luggage covered in logos and i certainly don't want things in my home covered in them.

The tagline says "your house should say who you are". It should say that your house should be an altar to Queen Oprah.

I wonder how that blogger who has to do everything Oprah says for a year is handling this...
I don't remember the link to her blog. :/

This is the only post so far on the oprah lady's blog. I read a few recent posts, it's kind of interesting actually.
