Glamorous Meridian Hill Co-op & French Decor in DC
The Washington Post, 3.12.09

The Washington Post features French decor in DC, including a gorgeous two-bedroom co-op off of Meridian Hill Park. Shared by lobbyist Mark Bloomfield and his French wife Claudine Sorel, the decor combines his Danish modern furniture from Scan and her furniture shipped over from France. Sorel was a designer in Bulgaria and the DC co-op houses her family antiques, vintage items, and modern paintings. The Post also covers where to buy French furniture in DC and inspiration from French Bed & Breakfast's. Links and more info below the jump...

The Post's article "Inspiration From the B& Bs of France" praises the book "French Style at Home" (Flammarion, $34.95) by author and photographer Sébastien Siraudeau. The Post also recommends various stores in DC and online in "Where to Buy Decor That's Tres Chic."

Wow - I love the character of the mix, and the richly colored patterns in the bedroom are so opulent...
