Look! Google Brings Life Magazine to Your Computer

Modern Life Search1.jpgDon’t you love looking through old issues of Life magazine? We continue to find ideas and inspiration in the pages depicting the iconic American home life and architecture of bygone eras...

Luckily for us, we no longer have to dig through old issues at antique shops and thrift stores - now we can peruse the past from the comfort of our own home. Google has recently launched the Life magazine photo archives in a searchable online gallery. Many of these images haven’t been seen for years. Time Inc., the former publisher of Life, has said that probably more than 95 percent of the Life photo archives were never published in the magazine.

The images can be printed for free as long as they are not being used for monetary gain. So go ahead, take a look down memory lane – we guarantee you'll be amazed by the timeless design and style found in these images.

Has anyone ever ordered from Qoop, the company that offers framed versions of these Time photos? I found one that I absolutely love, but the Qoop site seems a bit odd to me, and the FAQ isn't very reassuring.

Anyone have any experience?

Seems to me at a quick glance that Qoop is a print store, which prints whatever people upload there. And if the Time photos are creative commons -licensed, you can have them printed for your own personal use anywhere, Walgreens or Kinko's or anywhere.
