On a recent trip to Walt Disney World, we were delighted to stumble upon this oasis of 1950s style in a sea of cartoon characters. We love the colors and the style, and we were obviously not the only ones- it was hard to hold off the crowds for long enough to snap these photos...
The teal recliner in the last picture was especially popular with the kids at the restaurant; we heard one tell his brother's friend that it was just like the chair in his grandma's house. The older patrons in the waiting room seemed drawn to the room with the coral sofa. It was fun to watch so many people enjoying the 1950s style of these rooms, and reminded us that classics are classics for a reason...
How fun - and that wallpaper is incredible.
Where in Disneyworld is this?

Is that the 50's Prime Time Cafe. I went there when I was a kid. I LOVE THAT PLACE!!!! They get mad at you if you don't eat your vegetables though.

As a HUGE Disney fan, I have to say you hit the mark beautifully! You picked up the attention to little details that works so well for the Disney experience. I love your place!

I'd kind of like to see the looks of horror on the MCM-obsessives' faces when they realize that it's been disneyed.

The Prime Time Diner! I love that place. Definitely my favorite restaurant at MGM (sorry, Hollywood Studios)!
