Then last weekend, we wandered into the Ace Hardware in Tenleytown, and found these lovely crystal bulbs. We took one look, and snapped up the only three 60 watt bulbs on the shelf! We love the look of the bulbs in the plasterwork when the light is off, and find ourselves enjoying the sparkles on the ceiling when the light is on. We hope to install a dimmer switch next week for the rare occasions when that light is necessary.

At $7 per bulb, these are expensive bulbs, but worth the investment to us as they will last years given our use of that light.
Wow, what an improvement!

What a difference! This is a great product! Do you have the name of the manufacturer, I'd love to see if they are available in Canada. Thank you :)

disco fever! $7 is a lot for a light bulb, but not that much for a design element. i really like them!

We have a very similar fixture in our 20's row home in Philly. We made the exact same bulb switch when we moved in a couple of years ago. Since our light in on a dimmer switch, and being the bedroom, it is very rarely on full strength. Hence, we have yet to replace one of the fancy halogens.
