Naked Decor's Happy Hot Dog Clock

Among the thousand reasons we enjoyed touring Supon's magnificent Kalorama townhouse, was seeing how he used his line of Naked Decor items throughout his home. While we loved them all, we became particularly enamored to this clock...

As time is usually my enemy, I often avoid checking the clock more often than I have to, but with this one...well, I think I may have to find excuses not to keep checking the time. Part kitsch, part trendy, but totally irresistible.

Like most of Supon's Naked Decor collection, the clock adds a vibrant, light note to what can often be seen as a ho-hum, purely functional object. When I asked Supon to elaborate on his interesting brand name, he said that while obviously the name has many implications, he wanted his products to bring life to a bare house, to transform a naked house into a lively home.

Along, with the clock's brother product, the Happy Hot Dog Pillow, we think he's succeeded with this humorous clock. We're thinking of a few dog lovers who may just get this under the tree this Christmas.

It's cute, but I wonder if the hands on the dog's hind quarters don't make for some awkward silhouettes.

Hmmm, I was expecting the 'happiness' to set in around 5:35 -- guess that was not what they meant.

i agree that the particular placement of the clock hands on the dog's body is baffling.
